Subject: Urgent: [Buyer] affiliation with Ridglan Farms

Show body template
Dear {{point_person}},

I am a {{affiliation}}{{location_clause}} writing to express my deep concern regarding {{buyer}}'s affiliation with Ridglan Farms, an experimentation and breeding facility that has subjected dogs to years of extensive, substantiated animal-welfare violations.
{{personal_intro_block}}
What has been documented:

  • The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection cited Ridglan Farms for 311 violations.

  • Dane County Circuit Judge Rhonda Lanford found probable cause for felony animal cruelty charges.

  • The Veterinary Examining Board confirmed that eye surgeries were conducted by unlicensed staff without anesthesia, pain management, or post-operative care.

  • Former employees of Ridglan Farms testified under oath that devocalization surgeries were performed on conscious dogs without anesthesia by unlicensed personnel.

  • The Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board suspended the license of Ridglan's lead veterinarian, Dr. Richard Van Domelen, after determining that he delegated hundreds of surgical procedures to unlicensed staff.

These are not mere allegations; they are documented findings supported by sworn testimony and official regulatory actions.

Public records indicate that {{buyer}} previously purchased dogs from Ridglan Farms. In light of the documented abuses, I am asking you to condemn these practices by severing any remaining ties to Ridglan Farms or any parent company, subsidiary, successor entity, or related organization that operates under the same ownership, officers, or directors.

You are likely aware that approximately 1,500 of the estimated 2,000 dogs have now been placed in safe homes. As a concerned member of the public and a dog lover, I want to know that the remaining 500+ beagles enjoy the same outcome. Your company has the power to play a role in turning the tide for these remaining 500+ dogs.

I would appreciate a response with your commitment. Thank you for taking the matter seriously and acting with integrity and expediency.
